Addressing of Flight Plan Messages

Flight movement messages relating to GAT into or via the Amsterdam FIR shall be addressed as follows:

• from, to or via one or more of the areas indicated on chart ENR 6-1.2 and

• in addition when for the VFR part the departure and/or destination is any aerodrome in the Netherlands.

Flight movement messages in this context comprise flight plan messages, amendment messages relating thereto and flight plan cancellation messages. ICAO PANS-ATM Doc 4444 chapter 11.3.6 refers.

For addressing of flight movement messages relating to OAT see military AIP Netherlands.

Departure messages are not required for IFR flights along ATS routes from all EUR-states to or via the Amsterdam FIR.

Departure messages for IFR flights departing from aerodromes within the Amsterdam FIR to any destination within the EUR region will not be transmitted via AFS, except when specifically requested by states concerned.
